Zoo days!!

Feeding the goats, these guys were PUSHY!!

He was so excited at the noise the goats were making!!
One of our most favorite things to do in Wichita is go to the Sedgwick County Zoo. It is possible that the zoo is our favorite because there is not much else to to do in Kansas.

This guy was a bully!! I was not feeding HIM and he was kicking and head butting me.

Josiah and Benn fed the gold fish, they are nasty and HUGE!!

There was a sweet baby Giraffe at the Zoo. I thought it was sweet, the boys wanted to get to the Gorillas.
Looking at the Elephants

We were able to watch the trainers work with the tiger. The tigers jumped up and gave high fives and in return the tigers got some sort of ground hamburger type stuff.

The Chimps were smelly nasty gross and I did not care much for them. Guess what?? The boys thought they were the best!
We took the tram around to the back side of the Zoo. The driver gives you a mini tour of the different animals and exhibits.

These stupid geese are EVERYWHERE! This one decided to build its nest right on the edge of a wall right of the trail. I could reach up and grab it if I wanted. But on the other hand these things are mean and RUTHLESS! One attacked JJ while walking through the Zoo. Poor kid was traumatized! Now when he sees one we walks briskly the other way!

Doesn't it look like the bear is waving for the camera! PERFECT shot if you ask me!! hee!hee!
Because Pops and Grams have a membership to the zoo we are able to go as often as we want for little to no cost making this place a gem! The kids run off energy, see cool animals and at the end of the day they sleep like logs! Its really a win win! I am not a big fan of taking pictures of Zoo animals, but I thought I would capture a few for the sake of my boys.

Sad news: The day we went to the Zoo, Josiah thought it was fun to try and climb over the railings, he really wanted to see the Leopard up close and personal. We nipped the bad habit in the bud and continued our venture through the Zoo. The very next day a 1st grade class attended the zoo with a teacher and a couple chaperons. One little boy was not so lucky, he did climb over the fence to get a better look at the leopard and it happened. . .the leopard got his big paws through the fence and mauled the little boy!
Good News: He is okay!!!
Not sure what is up with JJs face, but he is cute anyway!
