Napa called about 9am to let us know the part for our van had come in. Dave walked down to pick it up while I fed the kiddos breakfast and also packed.
Today was the day Dave joined PLMA! Parking Lot Mechanics Association. Dave was able to install a new pulley system tp bypass the AC compressor. This fix will get us by until we get to Wichita, KS. There Dave and his Dad will finished the project. Until then. . .no AC for us. We were on the road by 1pm!
But not for long! We heard this terrible squeaking from under the hood. Dave pulled over into the same truck stop where all of the trouble had begun. He decided we had to go back to Napa and get another belt. 3 belts later, he had the right size on the van and we were on the road, YET AGAIN, by 3pm. 420 miles!! Because we were held up for a couple days in Fort St John we had to make a mad dash towards the border.
We had shipped all of our household goods and needed to be in Seattle to meet them by a certain date or it would no longer be our stuff. We made it to our "home" for the night around mid-night. We could not get everyone in the door and in bed fast enough!!
