Our official depature date
As many of you know Dave has been accepted to a med school in Yakima, Washington. Dave's last day at work is March 12 and then that next week we will spend filling up the container that will ship all of our stuff to Seattle,WA. After we fill our container we are going to drive down to Kenai to be with family and friends until March 25th.(March 18-25) We will then come back to Anchorage and drive out that following Monday March 28th.(March 25-28) So there is is folks. MARCH 28, 2011. We will officially leave Anchorage, the place we have called home for over 6 years and Alaska which I have call home for 26 years! CRAZY BUSINESS!!

Eph 3:20
"Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us"
Two days before Christmas Eve Dave and I were in the process of selling our house and knew we had to be out by Dec 29th. The time was not slowing down and we had no where to live. In Anchorage rentals are expensive and it is hard to find a decent rental who would allow us to do month-to-month and also have a dog. It was slim pickens and we were on pins ans needles. We prayed daily (hourly) that God would provide what we needed. "NEED" being the key word. We perused different rentals, but lined up a place to stay just in case. We decided to stay with our wonderful friends, The Warrens, until we found a permanent residence.
For those of you who do not know, Dave is accepted to a medical school in Yakima, Washington and we have to be in Washington no later then the last week in July. We decided this would be best summer to travel the open road and let our hair down before we dive into 4 years of med school. So we set a date to drive out of Alaska; the last weekend in March.
Okay, so here we are a week out from having to be out of our home and all we know is we are staying with some friends.
I called a dear friend of mine, Charissa, who had just gone through the moving process herself a few months prior. In the midst of tears I asked her for prayer on where we would live. She reminded me of a sweet couple we both knew here in Anchorage who, in March 2010, purchased a triplex for a rental property.
Their renters had just moved out and the rental was open. Because of work that needed to be done to the property in the spring of 2011 long term renters were not what they wanted. SO WE WERE PERFECT! :)
The LeMaster's halted work on the rental and allowed us to make it our temporary home! God has blessed us through them in an amazing way! This place is wonderful and perfect for what we need and so much more. Ephesians 3:20. We have a yard with a handicap ramp that the boys can use as a sledding hill and a large play room downstairs for the boys to play Nerf wars in.
To hear about the provision of God from others is one thing, to actually watch it play out around you and affect your life in a deep way. To know it and understand it. . .to feel it. . .is a whole other ball game! Preparing to move away from the place you called home for 6 years and out of the state you called home for 26 years can cause real worry. But after watching God work wonders with little to NO effort from me is absolutely amazing. As I write this blog I am frustrated because I can not put into words how I feel. I have no fear. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt God is going to provide us with EXACTLY what we need and so much more!!
